Stickers: which one is right for you?

Stickers are printed adhesive seals used to brand-seal ecommerce packaging — applied to tissue paper, mailers, kraft bags, gift boxes, hampers, and any surface that benefits from a finishing brand touch. All three SKUs use Avery-grade adhesive paper at 100 GSM, digital-printed up to 4 colours, with three finish options (Velvet Laminated, Clear Transparent, Basic Paper). They are the family's "small final touch" — low-cost, high-frequency, used everywhere.

Decide in four questions

Walk down from the first question — every branch ends at a product.
1. Should the sticker follow the LOGO/ARTWORK contour exactly
(no white background, no border, just the shape of the brand)?
   ├─ Yes → Custom Die-Cut Sticker (custom-diecut-sticker)
│ — contour cut to artwork, premium look, most expensive die
   │
   └─ No → continue
        2. Is the shape a circle or a square/rectangle?
           ├─ Circle / round → Round Sticker (round-sticker)
           └─ Square / rectangle → Square Sticker (square-sticker)
04

Easily confused

  • "Custom shape" vs "Die-cut" — Confusing because Round and Square stickers also offer custom sizes. The difference is the die: Round and Square use standard circular or rectangular dies (just resized for custom dimensions). Custom Die-Cut uses a bespoke die that follows the artwork's contour — including non-geometric shapes like a logo silhouette. If a customer wants their logo cut out without any background, that's Custom Die-Cut.
  • "Avery paper" — what does that mean? Avery is a global adhesive paper brand; "Avery-grade" means the adhesive paper quality matches Avery's standards. The sticker base is 100 GSM coated paper with a standard pressure-sensitive adhesive backing.
  • "Sticker vs Label" — Often interchanged in casual conversation. At Roopac, stickers are for branding seals (logo, finishing touch). Labels (not a Roopac product line) are typically for product information — barcode, ingredients, batch numbers — and may use different materials. If the customer says "label" but describes a logo seal, route to sticker.

When this family is the wrong call

  • Product information label (ingredients, barcode, batch) → product-info labels (not a Roopac product line — closest: sticker-family)
  • Branded insert that's not adhesive → thanks-card or printed paper inserts
  • Eco-led brand voice — Avery adhesive paper is not eco-friendly → custom kraft sticker on quote
  • Food-direct contact (e.g., sticker that touches food) → not food-safe; route to food-safe SKU
